Let’s describe something and put labels all over it. That is what Mole did when he discovered a strange object out in the woods. Mole loves to label things like ladybugs, poop, bark, anthills and lichen when he’s out walking on his path. When he came across something in his path that he didn’t know what it was, he just started labeling it with words like bumpy, strange, slimy, gigantic, scaly, ribbed, knobbly as he tries to figure out exactly what it was. When the sharp, stripy thing yawns, Mole begins to run away but comes back as he needs to make more labels to put on the creature lying on his path. It’s a small mole against this lumpy-bumpy thing and sometimes size does not matter. The pictures are wonderful and colorful with bold text that is sometimes offset with different sized font and type. Kids will love this book and I loved all the words that mole used as he placed labels on everything.
