What a cliffhanger! Are you kidding me? This is the reason that I don’t like to read book series, seriously….you left me hanging like this? If this was a book that the next book in the series had not been released, I think I would be freaking out right now. It‘s like one of those crime shows where they leave you hanging and you talk about it for an entire week. Then finally the show is on and you’re literally exhausted and you plop down on the couch, eyes glued to the TV, just waiting for the next 5 minutes to see what finally occurs and what do they do? They recap last week’s episode and you’re thinking, “enough already….move on.” So I drove myself to the library and picked up the next book in the series and I feel so much better having it in my possession but I feel sorry for everyone that I talk to, I feel like a talking billboard for this book.
This last book was a twisted mess: the history, the family stories, the interrogations, grandma and then just when I thought things were getting wrapped up, not a chance. Barry came through again and left me gasping at the end. Jazz’s girlfriend Connie got wrapped up in this serial killing rampage this time as they tromped through the city of New York. She was thinking she was going to spend some “alone” time with Jazz but he had other things on his mind and it’s a good thing, as they needed him. His mind is so warped, thanks to his father; it’s like a gold mind to the police department. If you haven’t read this series and you like mysteries, murder and the unexpected, you really should check this out. I would suggest you start with the first one in the series, you wouldn’t want to miss anything. I know it will be a couple weeks before I get to the third book as I have a stack to contend to, I hope I can wait that long. I guess this just pushes me to get my other books read.
