How much do I love this series? Way too much darling! I am on another daring adventure down dark alleys, holding up in an attic chamber, dancing at a masquerade ball, staring at specimens in glass jars, and trying to keep the Beast from killing a variety of folks and that’s just a bit of what I tried to keep up with while keeping tabs on Juliet now that she is back in London. How this girl had time to sleep or eat, I don’t know. Since first arriving home, Juliet wanted to find a cure for her disease. She is back in good graces and has a legal guardian which I was relieved about. But when a rash of murders takes on the characteristics of Edward, Juliet is on high alert. Edward was supposed to be on the island; the island that she left behind with all its destruction. The town has labeled the killer, the Beast and the hunt is on. Juliet’s life gets more complex and dark as the plot thickens. The author paints an incredible picture as the story unfolds and draws you deeper into the unknown. This was another hairdryer book for me and I was consumed by every word and detail until the very end. Even though this is the second book in the series, the author does explain in detail the information that you would need from the first book to understand what is occurring. Since this is an excellent series, I would recommend that you start with book one as you don’t want to miss out on anything.
