What I enjoyed most about this book was the bright cheerful pictures. Centered on a circle theme, we are shown everyday items and people enjoying this shape. The rhythm of the book is easy to follow and whether it is a tire, a ring, a hole, a spot or a hula hoop this book has you covered. With an abundance of smiling faces and bright objects on each page, finding the shaped items on the page for any preschooler while you read the words will become interactive fun.
With lots of bright pictures, I was excited to pick this up for my granddaughter. It will not be long before she will be able to point out shapes as she now pointing out items in our house and I was looking for a book with simple words but something educational. As a teacher, this was perfect. The pictures are realistic and vivid and the words are not cumbersome but short and sweet. Each set of words on the pages will have her searching for a couple shaped items as we read together. The book has lots of circle shapes for her to find (I did not list them all above) which could lead into a house hunt for more items in my own home. I am looking forward to the day we can read this book together.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this book to me.
