Finally finished with organizing my bookshelves and getting rid of the boxes off my floor. It was more than I bargained for. I'm glad that I took the time to do it as my anxiety over doing that, is gone. I have one box of books to dispose of (my daughter-in-laws are coming over for Easter so we'll see what they want). I found a few duplicates, lots of books that I didn't know that I had, and books that I have been keeping for some reason or another but I have decided they needed to be loved by someone else now.
It was a mess and frustrating at times as I was over sorting, I feel. I began sorting by genre and then I tried to group books together with the same author. Then with what was left, I tried to group by hard or soft copy and then I wanted to alphabetize these single copies. Needless to say, the single copies didn't work out as planned. So, some shelves are in ABC order and some are not. BUT, they are all are scanned, so that is a huge plus for me! I realized that I have more fiction and mystery/horror than I thought and my YA is not as big as I thought it was.
