My Never Ending List

We were celebrating my youngest son and his wife's birthdays last week as they both were born in the month of November and we started to discuss food. Food, a serious topic in our house but I didn't think green bean casserole would fall under this topic. The question came up: do you like the recipe using fresh green beans with bacon and cheese or do you like the traditional recipe with the canned green beans? We laughed,discussed and decided that we needed to have a taste test this Christmas. One dish of each and everyone will have a deciding vote.  So what do you all think? That is your favorite.  Does your family do taste tests too? I'd love to hear from you.

Oh yeah, I couldn't wait till Christmas for the casserole after we were talking about it so I whipped it together for lunch.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving wherever you may be. We are all truly blessed. We have each other, we have the great outdoors and we the opportunity to escape inside a novel where sometimes we don't know what awaits us. There is always something to be thankful for.
