My Never Ending List

She watched The Lost Boy from afar. Same place and same time, she watched him. This beautiful, unique individual was predictable in his behavior but Ugly Girl did not know why.   With her camera, he soon became her newest project. It wasn’t until she accidentally spoke to him that his story comes pouring out.   His story was touching, it’s was a girls dream come true but unfortunately there were holes in the story that needed to be filled for his dream to come true. Theo jumps at the chance to help The Lost Boy, Andy fulfill his dream. Using her excellent skills and his patchy memory, it becomes an outstanding adventure, one in which Theo forgets the rest of the world and wraps herself up in his dream. Theo cannot understand how this beautiful boy can associate with her, The Ugly Girl, the girl who hides behind her hair.

Her best friend Leo is playing all her cards, it’s their senior year and there is nothing holding her back. Theo doesn’t know who Leo has become as now she is brave and bold in her final high school year. Theo herself is hiding, still hiding since the accident that scarred her.   The mystery behind the accident is buried inside her and the answer hasn’t been revealed.

As I was reading, I was really thinking something was going on with Andy and Theo as they spent a lot of time together trying to fulfill his dream. I thought at times, Andy was dumb and then Theo would come in and rescue him with her knowledge and mature mannerisms. I wanted to know the story of The Ugly Girl, her thoughts and why she labeled herself. I really wanted a great ending, I wanted all the answers. The ending though confused me, there were words, lots of words but the ending was nothing like the rest of the novel. I was disappointed. This novel, I wrote my own ending.
