I read almost every genre & I enjoy venturing into unfamiliar territory. As a library volunteer, I'm constantly bringing home novels. Being a substitute teacher, I read lots of YA & children's books.
Julia’s house by the sea is just too quiet for her. Taking matters into her own hands, she creates a new sign and places it out front and waits. Julia’s House for Lost Creatures is soon bustling with homeless and lost beings that make themselves right at home. Large and small, hairy and slithery, these creatures are just what Julia was looking for except things are quickly getting out of hand. The creatures are taking over Julia’s house and she needs to come up with a solution before her home is ruined. This is a sweet enjoyable story as Julia opens up her house to the displaced creatures and as they commit to working together to make this arrangement work. The illustrations make the book, the details and the colors make it magical and would make a wonderful bedtime story.
