Jeff is in the psych ward at the hospital and he has no idea how he got there. He swears he is a normal kid and that he doesn’t belong among all the “freaks”. But he’s there and from page one, I was laughing as Jeff was narrating the circumstances that are surrounding his ordeal and how everything plays out for him. You would think the title Suicide Notes could be a very serious novel, but Jeff has a lot of sarcasm as he talks about his daily activities, the other individuals on his floor and how he ended up in the hospital. “I just told you-the Sugar Plum Fairy has taken over my body. She tried to kill me! You have to do something. Like an exorcism. Or a fairycism.”Each chapter is a day in the life of his 45-day treatment and as each day passes, Jeff learns a little bit more about the others and how some of these “freaks” are just kids like himself. The real reason on why Jeff is hospitalized is not revealed until the end and then Jeff has some explaining to do.Book is for mature readers only as there are some explicit sexual content.
