Hearts & Other Body Parts
This was a cute story. I really enjoyed the talking demon cat Esme. Esme was a very sarcastic feline and he was a deep thinker. What he had to say a lot of the time had a great deal of truth in it, sometime more truth than what others wanted to hear. The relationship of the three sisters, the Wiccans, was creative and entertaining. I was hoping that they could work as a team, that their inner circle could be strengthened as the novel continued but when the girls met the boys, my hopes began to fade. Each of the girls saw someone different when they met Norm and Zack and this reaction told me more each of their characters.
I don’t believe this novel is for everyone as I can see how some individuals might see this novel as childish and silly. A talking cat, casting spells, a vampire and a large strange looking boy are not normal items you find in a novel. I found the novel funny and enjoyable.
This could be used for Halloween Bingo Witches square.
