My Never Ending List

Let the Sky Fall

Let the Sky Fall - Shannon Messenger I didn’t get all wrapped up in the excitement of this book. It just transpired and I read along, trying to decipher what I was missing. I wanted to feel the rush and the thrill that the book’s cover had been taunting me with from page one. I thought with Vane being an orphan, having no memory of his past, this revolving around a twister (tornado) and…. it being connected with Audra, I would be flipping pages faster than my eyes would allow. But, it didn’t happen for me. Vane wasn’t always human and now Audra is Vane’s guardian and she is a sylph. A sylph? Yes, she is an air elemental which means she’s a windwalker. Can you see battles going on with people using wind as a weapon? How about being able to control the wind and command it? Sure, I’d like to fly somewhere instead of walking or taking my car. Controlling the wind, so this is where the twister came into Vane’s life earlier and since his memory is wiped clean, he is clueless on who Audra is. Audra has to get Vane up-to-speed on life in the other world and what his place is in that world before it is too late. There’s this heated connection they both feel toward each other but history has put a damper on that flame, but why. The world of wind is in danger and they need to get prepared now.
