My Never Ending List

Mo's Heart (Miracle Interrupted, #5)

Mo's Heart (Miracle Interrupted, #5) - Edie Ramer They’re doing a dance. It’s a lover’s dance and they’re each waiting to see who will make the first move and that first move will be critical. They both have baggage from their past that is weighing them down yet they both feel a deep connection to each other. As they bop around the restaurant where Rosa cooks her tantalizing dishes for her boss Mo, the two cannot take the pressure of their building romance and sparks fly. Not wanting to put too much pressure on their business relationship, Rosa puts a suggestion down on paper for Mo to think over. It is a proposal on how to handle the heat between the two to them. Just this idea, had me cracking up but they opted for Rosa suggestion. It was a start but they were way beyond this simple pleasure and things just take off from here. Mo feels his past will catch up with him some time and he is always looking over his shoulder. He wishes things could change but he does not know how to do it but the person who can help him is right in front of his eyes. Rosa, this power train looks strong but she has an inner voice that plays the devil advocate. She has been around the block so she knows her stuff and she is not afraid to speak up if needed She needs someone behind her, someone to support her, not someone to tell her what to do, just someone to need her and want her and that someone is…..yes, right in front of her. Just when things were heating up, the past walks in the door. There was so much riding in this book: romance, humor, action, drama and suspense. I loved the characters of Rosa and Mo and I loved their personalities. They seemed liked real down-to-earth people with their mannerism and feelings. Rosa had this comical, earthy flow about her that you felt like you could go have a coffee with her and talk. Mo, I pictured him as a witty, sneaky personal guy who was always moving with a smile on his face. Living in the small town and getting to know some of the other characters made the book fun and exciting. The scenes with Bobby were funny. When I think back, a couple of them make me laugh. I received this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
