I love Pete the Cat and in this book, Pete keeps losing his groovy buttons. We, as readers get to help Pete count down from four all the way down to zero as his buttons roll away. Pete sings one of his beloved songs as his buttons disappear and it’s Pop! Oh no, another button rolls away and it’s time to do a little math accompanied with bright pictures and big numbers leading the way. Pete doesn’t cry as his shirt opens up, for we all have one spare button and for Pete, it’s “still all good”.
